2016년 연말 시상식의 포문은 KBS 연예대상이 연다. 24일 오후 9시 15분 방송되는 2016 KBS 연예대상 측은 대상 후보로 <안녕하세요> <불후의 명곡>의 신동엽, <우리동네 예체능> 강호동, <해피투게더> 유재석, <슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다> 이휘재, <1박 2일> 김준호, 김종민을 발표했다。
